Join the HMC Orchestra and friends on July 2 at 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM as they explore Ottorino Respighi’s Pines of Rome and Te Pantheum By Sandy Moore.
In the Respighi the HMC Orchestra will take you on a journey through children playing at soldiers in the shade, the subterranean cavern in which the dead are immured, the moon that shines on the ancient pines that grow on the hill of the temple of Janus and to the past glories of the Roman republic at dawn on a great military road leading into Rome.
In Te Pantheum Moore wanders in to a Temple of the Gods. Inspired by the worship of the Greek Gods Sylvan, Olympus, Ecclesia, Fauns ending finally back in Te Pantheum for a final majestic ceremony of majestic serenity.
Joining the HMC helps us raise the funds that support our mission of greater accessibility in music. We hope we see you there!
And who knows there might just be a little surprise.
